Summer BBQ menu at The Jam Tree, Clapham
The Jam Tree has two distinctive venues in London – Clapham’s Old Town and King’s Road in Chelsea. We headed to The Jam Tree in Clapham to review the new summer BBQ menu they had to offer.
There’s several sections to The Jam Tree. The large main bar area has lots of seating, couches and board games, with the option to open up some the bay windows, which makes for a great atmosphere in the summer. A perfect venue to watch the Euros.
There’s also a large outdoor area and a separate room which on this occasion was being used for a speed dating event.
The new BBQ menu features a whole rack of ribs, jerk chicken, burgers, lamb kebabs and king fish steak, with garden areas to enjoy your food in the summer sun. On sunny days the food is also cooked in the garden, adding to the BBQ party vibe.
The jerk chicken was cooked beautifully, with a side sauce that packed a punch. The whole rack of ribs were tender, and the coleslaw was a definite highlight – which contrasted very well with the beetroot slaw. All went down nicely with a solid range of beers and some chips with thyme to finish the job.
If somehow the large meals weren’t able to satiate the pang for food, the desert menu is definitely one chocolate purists, with a wide range of deserts. I went for the chocolate sundae, which I’m ashamed to say, defeated me. Shame.
Located in such a beautiful part of Clapham, The Jam Tree is a must visit during the summer and the new BBQ menu only adds to its charm.
