Supper Tub, London: drinks and Peruvian tapas in hot tubs

What better way to spend summer in London than by enjoying good food and drink in a hot tub? Well now thanks to Supper Tub you can do just that!

Supper Tub is located near Hackney Wick station, and is in the back of Number 90 Bar, just a couple of minutes walk from the station.

Relaxing in a tub with strangers seems quite a strange idea, but it actually offered a fantastic socialising experience. Of course a few drinks helped. The waitress delivered drinks to the tub, including these gorgeous Pisco Sour cocktails:

The food menu consisted of small Peruvian inspired dishes that you could eat whilst soaking, including prawn, steak and haloumi skewers – all of which were packed full of flavour.

Food with a view: prawn skewers and hot tubs!

Following the skewers, the owner of Supper Tub brought some excellent finger food, including sea bass, tiger prawns and avocado one bite crisp cups.

The food menu is perfect for those who want to have a few bar snacks whilst enjoying some drinks. Three skewers ranged from £3.50-4.50 and the cups were £4 (also for three).

But wait, there’s more! These little rubber duck-shaped water gun surprises were waiting for us in the hot tubs, which caused a full on water fight between the tubs!

After a hard days work, the duck deserved a drink.

Liam joined me at the bar, and as such was required to have the usual mug shot! He looks happy enough though.

You’re provided with a towel and flip-flops, and there is also a choice of robes to walk around the bar in… a rather unique experience to be sure! We met Carolina, who donned this rather fetching blue number.

For a 2 hour slot it costs £150 to rent out the whole tub for up to 8 people, or for a pair of tickets it comes to £50. Because it’s such a unique experience it should definitely be on the top of your summer to do list.
