The Best PC Games to Buy This Christmas

By  |  0 Comments

As the holiday season approaches and many of us are in need of ideas for presents! Whether it be for a family member, a friend, a cracking girlfriend, or for yourself, we’ve took a look at some of the new releases and come up with the top 5 games you should consider getting this Christmas.

The 5 Best PC Games To Buy This Christmas

5/ Game of Thrones – A Telltale Games Series. Episode 1

Game of Thrones - A Telltale Games Series
With the return of series 5 of Game of Thrones slowly approaching, what better way to celebrate than with this cracking title. It appears to take a similar to form as that of The Walking Dead series.

The game features a new story, which follows House Forrester, a noble family from the north of Westeros, loyal to the Starks of Winterfell. Watch the trailer here.

Currently available to pre-order on Steam for around £20.

4/ Goat Simulator

Who wouldn’t be happy receiving a goat simulator for Christmas?? I mean come on… a goat… simulator.

Not only can you run around and destroy things as a goat, a new mode has recently been added to allow you to quest (as a goat of course), level up, and destroy even more things.

It costs a mere £6.99 for the full price game, but it’s often on Steam sale for around half of that.

3/ South Park: The Stick of Truth

We were going to recommend Assassin’s Creed: Unity, but due to the problems it experiences on PC we’ve gone with one of the funniest PC games we’ve ever played.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is a must for fans of the series. The game follows a RPG structure, which actually plays very well and offers a lot of customization, with each and every accessory providing hilarity. The game feels like you’re playing an elongated interactive South Park movie. It’s totally sweet.

2/ Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

What is Christmas without sitting down with the family and blowing people to smithereens?

The latest Call of Duty is much better than it’s predecessor and boy did it need to be! The franchise had begun slacking, but with the release of Advanced Warfare, it’s getting back on track.

The futuristic setting, the tech available (which actually makes the game more enjoyable this time) and absolutely frantic missions make this a great choice for a Christmas present.

1/The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Elder scrolls 5 skyrim
Never can I remember a more immersive game, and not to mention one which allows your to make your own choices in an open world. After you’ve spent 100+ hours completing the game and some of the side missions you can then head in to the amazing modding community out there and completely change the game! Want to turn dragons in to Macho Man’s screaming ‘Ooh yeah’ at you? Well you can!

The DLC’s are also nice extras to the game and if you time it right you can buy the entire set called The Legendary Edition, for around £7 when it’s on Steam sale. Keep an eye out as it’s one of the best games ever made.

The list is only 5 games long, so please feel free to add your suggestions below.
