The future of online gigs: multiple camera angles on Youtube

By  |  0 Comments

The world’s first interactive Youtube video where the user can choose their own camera angle has been launched. It allows people to press 1, 2, 3 or 4 (or left and right keys) to choose which camera angle they want as they watch the gig.

This new feature really is something special – and the song isn’t bad either. Watch the video here.

If you’re a YouTube creator interested in trying the tool out, you can sign up to learn more and even request to be a tester here.

The new feature, once rolled out across Youtube for all, will not only allow people to feel like they are actually at the gig, or directing a gig, it will give them a unique experience. The possibilities don’t end with gigs either, what about watching a football match or race whilst being able to choose what you’re watching.

This is definitely a step in the right direction for watching media online.
