A dinosaur footprint in a very good condition is discovered by a little girl on a beach located at the at Bendricks Bay in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales in the United Kingdom. Interestingly, the footprint was found there by Lily and Richard. Lily is the name of this little girl and Richard is her father. They accidently came across this specimen when they were walking on the beach area towards their way to supermarket. First, Lily saw it and then she told her father to look at it. They saw this print on the rock.
The footprint was spotted by this little kid on the 23rd January, 2021. This footprint was preserved in the muddy soil. The palaeontology scholars believe that this could be as old as 220 million years old. The footprint is 10 centimetres long. Accordingly, it could be the print of dinosaur whose height is 75 centimetres. It was defined as a slender animal. A slender animal is the one which walk on two foots. They usually eat the relatively little animals. According to curator Cindy Howells, it is the best sample of footprint discovered in this region. curator Cindy Howells is a curator in palaeontology branch of National Museum Wales.
Scientists are now focusing to the research related to structure of feet associated with this specimen. As of now, the palaeontologists are stunned by this discovery and also, very much happy about it. At present, The Wales museum is not open for the pubic because of the Coronavirus. But officials will invite Lily when it will be open for all. These officials are saying that they will invite Lilly and her classmates for an official of this specimen.
